Some good advice

Turning pages | Axioo

I used to make tons of new years resolutions when I was younger, sitting down and filling a page in a note book with new things to do or try and then illustrating the list with little doodles. That was the fun part :) sticking to them was the hard (and boring) part and I hardly ever did.
For the last few years I've never bothered thinking of any, but this year, I have made a few new years resolutions that I'm going to try my hardest to put  in to practice :) I know I'm too hard on myself most of the time, so I'm going to except now that I might make mistakes and give in but that doesn't mean that I have to think I'm a failure and give up. I think if I try to keep this in mind I might have a better shot of succeeding with them.
I don't really want to post my new years resolutions on my blog as some of them are personal and I don't feel comfortable doing it, but I was just browsing on pinterest when I came across this girls web/blog page, and came across a list of good advice/things to remember. I don't think these are her new years resolutions but I like what she had written so I thought I would share my favorites:

Welcome to your life! Enjoy it while you can, you never know when you’re about to kick the bucket!

Don’t compare yourself to others. You will become one of two things- Vain or Self conscious. Everyone is living under different circumstances, and is fighting their own battles

The people around you are more worried about themselves than they are about you. Stop worrying what they think of you because ultimately, they don’t care. And if they do, they are either your mum or they are comparing themselves to you.

If you aren’t happy being alone, then you’ll never be happy in a relationship. Learn to enjoy the time that you spend by yourself.

Take people as they come. Disregard the bullshit you’ve heard about them. Give them a chance to show you who they are, and they will almost definitely do the same for you.

Time heals all wounds, even if right now if feels like you've been stabbed in the chest with a pitchfork.

Mistakes are the best teachers. Sometimes the only way to learn is to cock something up royally

This is a picture of what I was looking at on pinterest. Its a little purse with a strap that you can take on nights out to put your iPhone and your ID bank cards and cash in. I think these are amazing, I really want one! I'm always afraid of loosing my phone and cards on a night out as I lost my phone once before. I think this is a great solution as my bags I take on a night out are really small and I always dislodge something looking for an item of makeup. This way you know your most important items are safe, and you can text and make calls from your phone when its in this purse. Definitely going on my wish list :)

love and kisses

  3. Some of those really hit home with me, I am always paranoid that people are thinking things about me...even though they probably are not!
The one about everyones fighting their own battles, I think I need to remember this, when I get upset I always think it's just me having a bad time etc, but really we all have different problems in our lives, I really gotta remember this one next time I get upset xxx
